There are many different branches or specialized forms of Reiki developed by others, but there are 2 main streams of Reiki technique, Japanese traditional Reiki and Western (modern) Reiki.

Jikiden Reiki :

Mr. Yamaguchi and his mother Chiyoko Yamaguchi founded the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai(institute) in 1999.

The seminars are based on the teachings that Chiyoko Yamaguchi received from Chujiro Hayashi, one of Mr. Usui’s prominent students.

After World war II, many holistic healers in Japan were forced to close their clinics, reduce their practices. Reiki was one of them and it was believed to have perished until the Western Reiki practitioner met Mr.Tadao Yamaguchi in Kyoto, Japan.

Chiyoko Yamaguchi first learned Reiki from Chujiro Hayashi Sensei when she was just 17 years old.

She never stopped practicing it until she passed away in August 2003 at the age of 82.

The most important asset of Jikiden Reiki is Chiyoko's 65 years' devotion to it.

A prominent characteristic of Jikiden Reiki is its simplicity yet the deeper system.

Jikiden means in Japanese is "A secret art transmitted [handed down] directly from one's teacher"

Jikiden Reiki is a gentle, hands-on healing method.

During a Jikiden Reiki session, the recipient remains fully clothed and no oils or other substances are applied to the body. While the focus of a Reiki session is on the major organs of the body, Reiki energy reaches and benefits every cell. During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner's hands are placed on the head, the face, the upper body (from neck to hip) and the back (from shoulders to feet),etc. Reiki can also be applied to any injured part of the body. Jikiden Reiki physical treatments last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes and are generally concentrated on the head, upper back, soles of the feet, kidneys and areas that are of particular concern to the patient. After a short consultation, the client lies fully clothed on a Reiki table with soft lighting and relaxing music or no music playing. The session usually starts with gentle touch to the head.

Jikiden Reiki - It is pure, simple, and extremely effective & has over 65 years of experience behind it.

The word " Reiki " 靈氣 has been around for thousands of years in Japan and China.

Jikiden Reiki makes a strong effort to keep practice and teaching as faithful as possible to the original methods taught by Mikao Usui Sensei and Chujiro Hayashi Sensei. Jikiden Reiki is Reiki as it was originally taught in Japan.

In Jikiden Reiki, we don't work with set hand positions, but instead focus treatment on the areas where there are accumulations of toxins. It is not just relaxation or spiritual growth. Reiki facilitates the connection between the mind, body and spirit, creating a sense of overall wellness in the body.

When you learn Jikiden Reiki, you can use it in your life every day to help yourself and those around you.

This is how Chiyoko Yamaguchi, founder of Jikiden Reiki used it.

It can make such a difference in your life and your loved ones.
