About me and my experiences
Yasuko Tedaka (Sue)
Registered Shihan ( full teacher)-Jikiden Reiki Institute, Kyoto, Japan -
Registered Teacher- International Jikiden Reiki Association -
I was born and raised in Japan, where my parents, siblings, and extended family still live.
In the summer of 2013, after 13 years of working at a flower shop on the Surrey/Langley border, I discovered Jikiden Reiki. It was at this flower shop that I truly witnessed the best of humanity.
I believe there is always goodness in people.
No matter what they are facing, the moment someone stepped into the shop, they became a person full of love and care.
They were buying flowers to express love, offer comfort, celebrate together, or grieve together—sometimes even treating themselves as a reward. It was always about giving, never taking.
Just seeing people's love always made my day.
After the flower shop closed its doors indefinitely, I discovered Jikiden Reiki. I wanted to learn distant Reiki so that I can do something to help my aging parents.
My love of Reiki grew very quickly after I learned Shoden and Okuden.
Jikiden Reiki looks very simple, but years of dedication and practice is behind it.
When you learn Jikiden Reiki, you can use it in your life every day to help yourself and those around you.
This is how Chiyoko Yamaguchi, the founder of Jikiden Reiki used it.
“First aid with Reiki and use Reiki as a home remedy.”
I have received Shihan-kaku (assistant teacher) certificate in 2014 and after going through the process of becoming Shihan, I have received an honorific title Shihan 師範(full teacher) in 2018 from Yamaguchi sensei, Jikiden Reiki Institute Kyoto, Japan.
I have been treating clients and helping my family and friends with various conditions since 2013 in my Reiki room in Brookswood, Langley.
The benefits of receiving Reiki is countless.
Reiki is always good for everyone, healthy or not, young or old, from cancer patients to pregnant woman.
Look after your mental health, physical health and much more with Reiki.
